Description

Communications Assistant/Executive

Location: Remote (UK-based) although preferred location would be in Oxfordshire or Wiltshire to attend the office 1 day per week, usually a Thursday.

About the Role:

Are you a proficient copywriter with a passion for communication and networking? Do you thrive in a remote working environment and enjoy contributing to a dynamic, globally-connected team?

My client is looking for a Communications Assistant or Executive (dependent on experience) to join their Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you will help engage key audiences and generate qualified leads to support revenue targets through all different types of content and communications.

No two days will be the same, and you will develop skills and work across key areas of communications including comms, media, marketing and digital.

 

Experience and Skills needed for Communications Executive

This position would suit a recent graduate or a graduate with 12-18 months experience.

Previous content and copywriting experience is preferred along with a good grasp of SEO best practice and writing for a range of mediums including print and digital. Familiarity with creating social media content will help you hit the ground running as will a strong interest in working within the education sector.

Platform experience with Hootsuite, Google Analytics, and WordPress highly desirable.

 

Communications:

  • Conduct research on key topics within the international education market and compile research data.
  • Sub-edit an International education publication under the guidance of the Communications Specialist.
  • Write brand content, including white papers, website news, and community articles.
  • Assist in researching and editing white papers
  • Support the Communications Specialist with proofreading, restructuring, and editing content for various departments.
  • Aid in creating conference and event content, including presentation slides and script writing.
  • Update and optimise website articles using SEO guidelines.

Media Relations:

  • Write press releases and editorial content
  • Develop and manage press networks
  • Handle press requests and monitor media coverage

Marketing and Communications Activities:

  • Monitor media KPIs, including web traffic, user engagement, and media reach
  • Brief design needs for press and communication purposes, including audio-visual content
  • Contribute to new ideas and workshops for multi-channel campaigns
  • Provide support to the team as needed
