Destination Marketing Manager (Travel clients, role will also support lifestyle and consumer campaigns)

Central London – office based 4 days per week with flex to work one day from home

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Destinations Marketing Manager to support travel and tourism clients with outstanding marketing campaigns. Working with the travel trade, tourism boards, airlines and other travel partners, this promises to be a varied, interesting and challenging opportunity to fast forward your travel marketing career.

The role

You will have the opportunity to ideate and deliver consumer and trade marketing campaigns from scratch utilising your knowledge of both traditional marketing channels as well as digital and events.

The role will see you build relationships with key players in the travel trade, increasing their knowledge on travel and tourism marketing through regular meetings and training sessions.

The position of Destination Marketing Manager requires a people person! There will be lots of building and managing relationships, organising client visits, trade shows and familiarisation trips.

Keeping up to date with travel and tourism news and industry developments, as well as gathering data for clients, along with making recommendations will also be part of working with your clients.

Skills needed for the role of Destination Marketing Manager

This role is for someone already in the travel and tourism sector, and would suit someone looking to move their marketing career in this industry up a level. Other requirements include:

  • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients
  • Excellent organisation and project management ability
  • Proven delivery of marketing campaigns across various marketing channels
  • Ability to travel across the UK and internationally
