Digital Content Developer / Web Content Developer – £35,000

London – Onsite 5 days per week

Benefits: 33 days holiday, auto-enrolment pension

Our client is a publisher of bespoke publications and campaigns for global audiences.  They have earned a reputation for producing exquisite books, presenting the worlds of heritage and culture through a luxury lens.  For them, books are works of art, but works that are an accessible luxury for all.

They are looking for a Digital Content Developer.  This is a new role, responsible for creating and delivering engaging and inspiring content across their range of digital channels. These include multiple websites that serve their diverse range of customers, articles and newsletters as well as their social media channels.

Your role will support the business in shaping the digital content strategy to drive leads and engagement and you will produce marketing copy to advertise products, deliver industry relevant news by way of social posts, web page content or email and creative assets for promotion across social media.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business and prior experience of working with the back-end of websites to upload content and creative assets.

This content will help us reach our target audience. You will own a content strategy and content calendar to ensure that we are publishing consistently.  You will also fine-tune the company’s marketing copy, making sure it is compelling and original.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills. Experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter or similar with a focus on digital channels
  • A sense of branding and an ability to keep a consistent tone of voice in your writing
  • The ability to write for multiple channels (long-form, newsletters and social media)
  • Experience and technical knowledge of working with a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress. You will need to be able to upload text and creative assets (imagery/video).
  • An understanding of customer needs and an ability to translate these through captivating content
  • Creation of basic visuals using Adobe Photoshop, Canva or similar
  • An understanding of SEO and how to apply SEO principles to your writing
  • Understanding of data and analytics to identify success metrics, e.g., measuring website traffic with Google Analytics

Desirable

  • Experience of Shopify or similar eCommerce platform
